Characters

I finished Maus A survivor's Tale by Art Spiegelman. It is about a mouse who is Jewish living in a Nazi world during World War II it about this one mouse Vladek who is imprisoned in the concentration camps and the horror the conditions are what he went through. He lost a lot of his friends and his family. And trying to find his love through all of this. The Protagonist is Valdek and the antagonist is his son Artie. His son is the antagonist because he gets his father to tell him the tale from the past and Valdek remembers things that he does not want to remember but he forces his dad to tell him because it is a family history and he thinks that he should share it with him even if he knows it hurts him. This book draws me into it because it is about history and I love history and its about a family's trouble and hardship that they endure. This makes me think about why people will commit a homicide that killed over six million Jews. This remind me about my Great Uncles fighting against the Germans during this time trying to prevent the Germans gaining control of the world but one of them was a prisoner of war he died in the camp and another one was missing in action.

I am still reading Maus A Survivor's Tale My Father Bleeds History by Art Spiegelman this book is in the rule of thirds.  the sizes of the boxes are the same sizes that are usually seen in comic books. the way the pages are layered out the way you would see them in a comic book. The reading changed as if it were drawn in.
Simple drawings and the art is in black and white. No they do not change colors.

The Bronze Age started in the early 1970's to the mid 1980's. The Bronze Age comic covers were brightly colored superhero titles remaining the mainstay of the industry. However darker plot elements and more mature story lines featuring real-world issues such as drug use began to appear during the period. one of this comics was Spider man by Stan Lee.

The Golden Age was generally thought as lasting from the late 1930s until late 1940s. During this time, modern comic books were first published and enjoyed by a large popularity; the basic superhero characteristics were created and defined; many of the most famous superheros first came out was Batman, Captain America, Superman and Wonder Woman. The golden period sea the arrival of the comic book as a mainstream art form and the defining of medium's artistic  vocabulary and  creative conventions by its first generation of writers, artists and editors.

The Silver Age was a period of artistic advancement and commercial success in mainstream American comic books, overwhelmingly those featuring the superhero archetype, that lasted from 1956 to either 1960s or the early 1970's. This began the dawning of The Fantastic Four.

The Modern Age is an informal name for the period in history of mainstream American Comic Books generally considered to last from mid 1980s until present day. In this period comic book characters generally became darker and more psychologically complex, creators became better-known and active in changing the industry, independent comics flourished, and larger publishing houses became commercialized. Example of this is the watchman.

The Platinum age is an era when comics began to take place that we are use to now it started in the 1800s. A comic of this is the Yellow Kid.
A Graphic Novel is a book that has pictures and sometimes writing in it.
