Characters

I finished Maus A survivor's Tale by Art Spiegelman. It is about a mouse who is Jewish living in a Nazi world during World War II it about this one mouse Vladek who is imprisoned in the concentration camps and the horror the conditions are what he went through. He lost a lot of his friends and his family. And trying to find his love through all of this. The Protagonist is Valdek and the antagonist is his son Artie. His son is the antagonist because he gets his father to tell him the tale from the past and Valdek remembers things that he does not want to remember but he forces his dad to tell him because it is a family history and he thinks that he should share it with him even if he knows it hurts him. This book draws me into it because it is about history and I love history and its about a family's trouble and hardship that they endure. This makes me think about why people will commit a homicide that killed over six million Jews. This remind me about my Great Uncles fighting against the Germans during this time trying to prevent the Germans gaining control of the world but one of them was a prisoner of war he died in the camp and another one was missing in action.
